New Titles for Those Leading the Way

I am thrilled to announce the promotions of four outstanding individuals within the Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration. These roles will elevate our capacity to support the growth and expanding complexity of university operations and position us to provide continued excellent customer service for the campus community. Please join me in congratulating the following:

  • James Price now serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Financial Services. James will lead Accounting and Financial Compliance, Office of the Bursar and DASH Process Support teams. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to the university’s goals. He will continue to drive the university forward through focused efforts on ERP implementation and training.
  • Melissa Johnson now serves as the Director of Accounting & Financial Compliance. Her strong work ethic and reliability in delivering exceptional results is evident in her drive for financial statement accuracy, grounded in everyday compliance.
  • Samantha Johnson now serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Shared Services. She will lead the Campus Business Office, Service Level Agreement team, Campus Travel Center, and Campus Procurement Support teams. Samantha has been recognized for her outstanding efforts in support of service efficiencies and will continue to develop dedicated resources for efficient and effective operational support.
  • Keith Thomas now serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Budget, Planning & Analysis. He will lead the Budget and Planning, Reporting, and Analysis teams. With the implementation of the budget model, Keith has displayed exceptional problem-solving skills and a remarkable ability to build and lead a strong team. His innovative perspective will guide us as we shift from implementation of the model to planning, forecasting and analysis activities.

I am confident that these individuals will continue to grow in their new roles, bringing innovation, dedication, and excellence to Finance & Administration. Please join me in congratulating them all on their remarkable achievements.
